The Backwash Squeeze - Edward McPherson - 2007. The is a bridge book that is about the game in general as opposed to a book that will teach you how to do something. The author has caught the heart and soul of the game of bridge and even if it is not a game that you play you should enjoy this book. 10 True Blue - David Baldacci - 2009. This is a pretty good story even if it is a bit far fetched. Mace Perry was a cop on the police force of Washington, D.C. when she was framed for some drug crimes by the drug king pins that she was trying to put away. Her sister, Beth is the Chief of Police in DC and when Mace gets paroled, she tries to help her get her life back together. Worth the time but not up to previous books. 9 3rd Degree - James Patterson - ????. The Women's Murder Club with Lindsey Boxer takes on a terrorist with a mission and a hidden agenda. The book is very well done and easy to read. Good vacation material. 10 I Still Have It, But I Can't Remember Where I Put It - Rita Rudner - 2004. This book just hits the spot. It is very funny and very "Right On". Another great vacation book. 10 Fresh Disasters - Stuart Woods - 2007. Stone Barrington gets randier with each passing book. In this fast paced mystery, Stone gets involved with the mafia and a off the wall artist who has a perverted mean streak. This is a fast read that has a lot of laughs and a lot of action. 10 Kisser - Stuart Woods - 2009. Let's face it, Stone is making the rest of the male population of the United States feel very inferior. Every girl he bumps into wants to hop in his sack - it makes for good reading but really, no one is that good. That being said, it was a good read. 10 The Holy Thief - Mark Borovitz - 2007. Borovitz was born and raised in Cleveland Heights and as a teenager became an accomplished con man and check forger. Eventually he migrated to California and was arrested and jailed on numerous occasions. This book is the story of his life and his eventual realization that he was not living the life that he wanted to live. He worked his way out of the gutter and got an education and was ordained as a Rabbi in his early 50's. The book is not well written but it pulls no punches and delivers a very clear message. 7
